With any luck, there comes a time in the life of a startup where they can announce a public release of their product. For Deciding Vote, that time is today!
We’ve been working hard on putting together our 2020 Presidential Primary version of our app, which you can check out right here: https://2020.deciding.vote/
This has truly been a team effort:
- Elle, our front-end developer, ensured that the app would feel like butter in your hands (in the sense that it’s a smooth user experience, not like “ack, I’ve got butter all over my hands!”).
- Kenyon, our data analyst and researcher, dug deep to find each candidate’s positions (turns out candidates are not always forthcoming on yes/no policy questions!).
- Ian, our CTO, built the backend framework to withstand all sorts of events that might bring the thing down (seriously, I dare you to tell all your friends about the app, cause a massive traffic spike, and try to bring down our app!).
- And me. (I just sent occasional, but well-timed and inspirational thumbs-up emojis to the team. But they all told me that was critical to their success.)
In all seriousness, I’m proud of our team.
Do check out our hard work and send me an email with any feedback! We’ll be updating the app as the political season continues and more candidates decide to join the fray.
